One of the biggest Moidams at the location, Moidam 56 (diameter: 56.20 m; height: 14.00 m), has a view over a large water body to the north and a sizable area of burial landscape to the south.
Moidams at the site do not follow a set distribution pattern. These are randomly distributed across the selected foothills, leaving some space between two Moidams. Some Moidams built after the 17th century are largest examples since their vaults are made of bricks, as opposed to earlier Moidams made of earth or wood and earth.
Historical records inform that the royal Moidams were maintained properly under the supervision of an officer called Moidam Phukan, whose duty was to supervise the paiks (able male labour). The paiks were posted to guard the Moidam area and to keep the Moidams well trimmed and cleared of jungles. There was also engaged a priest, Mo Chai, who made daily offerings to the spirits of the dead and lighted lamps.
